Welcome in Yvelines !

Versailles and its surrounding area, little more than a stone’s throw from Paris, is the perfect destination for a weekend in the countryside, days out with the children or a spot of serious culture.
The Yvelines offers an unending list of places to visit, with 14 châteaux (among them the Palace of Versailles), 43 museums, and many artists’ homes to visit. Open-air leisure pursuits are here a way of life: 2 Regional Nature Parks and 1000 km of signposted trails and paths provide opportunities for walkers, riders and cyclists, and 3 leisure complexes offer families facilities for swimming and other convivial activities. The Yvelines is also home to 25 golf courses. The department’s visitors can choose between charming small hotel-restaurants, romantic luxury hotels or the welcoming hospitality offered by gîtes or guesthouses from Versailles to Saint-Germain, or from the banks of the Seine to the Chevreuse valley.
